Flat Brush Specially Designed for Painting Windows in Animation Backgrounds

We developed this window-painting-specific brush in response to a request from an art director who wanted a brush that would be easier for beginners to use.

In traditional animation background painting, shaping the brush tip precisely to match what you want to paint—especially windows—requires skill and experience. This brush was designed to simplify that process.

One of its key features is that it allows the artist to freely adjust the tip width between approximately 1mm and 5mm, all with a single brush.
What’s more, once shaped, the tip holds its width stably during use, so the line thickness doesn’t unintentionally change while painting.

The brush has an unusually long hair length for a fine brush—18mm—which allows it to hold a generous amount of paint.
As a result, it reduces the risk of running out of pigment midway when painting wide window frames or long lines. Despite being a Size 2 brush, it holds a significant volume of paint, making it suitable even for detailed filling and precision work.

We recommend trying it before window painting becomes your least favorite task!
