TSpecial Flat Brush for Hand-Drawn Animation Background Art

This specially made flat brush is designed for hand-painted backgrounds in animation. It is ideal not only for base coating and line work in animation background painting, but also for Nihonga (Japanese painting), graphic design, and poster work.

The brush features a thick, well-structured tip that holds a large amount of paint, allowing for broad coverage with a single stroke. Thanks to its generous volume, it also excels at lifting color (such as creating highlights or wiping away paint to reveal the paper base when painting clouds).

Compared to the “Animation Flat Brush - Kozue” of the same size, this Special Animation Flat Brush contains more goat hair, giving the tip extra volume. However, it is made using carefully selected, slightly slender and resilient high-quality goat hair (from the tail of mountain goats), allowing the brush tip to close neatly for precise line work as well.

If you're looking for a standard flat brush with balanced thickness and firmness, we recommend the “Animation Flat Brush - Kozue.”
However, this Special Animation Flat Brush is especially suitable for animation background studios seeking efficiency in large-scale base coating work.
